Never remove, adjust, or loosen the screws on the bottom brackets of the door. These brackets are connected to the spring system by the lift cable and are under extreme tension.

To protect your garage door from moisture related deterioration:

  • Paint and repair all exposed wood
  • Make sure to put weather stripping and that it is in good condition
  • Keep water from collecting from the base of the door by¬†clearing nearby drains and gutters of debris
  • Correct any existing drainage problems
